Why a studio

The care of a freelancer, the cover of a team.

vs. machine translation

Meaning, not just words

A native linguist checks tone, terminology and context that automatic tools miss, especially in legal and technical text.

vs. a single freelancer

A second pair of eyes

Every translation is reviewed by another linguist before it reaches you, and there is always cover if someone is unavailable.

vs. a large agency

You talk to the team

One point of contact who knows your project, without layers of account management in between.

For rare pairs

Languages others outsource

Shona, Swahili, Mongolian, Uzbek and Latvian are handled by our own native linguists, not passed down a chain.

Languages

16 languages, both directions with English.

Including the pairs most agencies struggle to staff. Each language is handled by native speakers of that language.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which languages do you cover?

English to and from Arabic, Chinese, Danish, French, Greek, Korean, Latvian, Mongolian, Russian, Shona, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Turkish, Uzbek and Vietnamese. If you need another pair, ask: we will tell you honestly whether we can staff it.

Who actually translates my documents?

A native speaker of the target language with experience in your subject area. A second linguist then reviews the translation before delivery.

How do you price?

Per word, depending on the language pair, subject area and deadline. You receive a fixed quote within one business day, before any work starts, so there are no surprises.

Can you provide certified or sworn translations?

Requirements differ by country and authority. Tell us where the document will be used and we will confirm what we can provide before quoting.

How is confidentiality handled?

Your files are shared only with the linguists working on them. We are happy to sign your NDA before you send anything.

We are an agency. How do we start?

Email studio@actimvated.com with the pair and a short sample. We will complete a free test and send our rates and capacity.

Send the brief.

We’ll handle the rest.

Email your files with the language pair and deadline. You get a fixed price and a delivery date before any work starts.
